Background

FYI, in case you were wondering.
I guess you could call this my athletic resume.

Currently: Training for the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco on October 19th.
I am up to 12 miles (in ~2:20), and am cross-training with weights and swimming.
My goal is to finish uninjured. I would like to be done in 6 hrs, but I don't really know what to expect at this point because I have never even ran a 1/2 marathon yet. I think I will be able to run the majority of it and I am training myself physically and mentally in preparation for the big day!

College:
ISU Crew Club, 1 semester
University of Iowa Women's Novice Rowing Team: 1 year (yes, I was a D1 athlete)

H.S.
Cross Country: 2 yrs (I was never the fastest, but I was never the last either!)
Soccer: 3 yrs (my favorite is sweeper, but any defense will do)
Volleyball: 2 yrs (I like to serve best)
Tennis: 2 yrs (terrible!)
Softball: ha- I started playing softball when I was five. I have played every position, but prefer catcher, outfield, and 3B/SS... so basically anything but pitcher or 1B. My first varsity start was in 8th grade at the state tournament. The first sign I got was to bunt and I almost died! We ended up getting 6th for 2A schools. Not bad for a roster of only 11 girls. :) Sadly, we didn't make it back, but I still love and will always love the game.
